Response from GM:
We've seen reports about this, but we're unsure what is causing this issue.
Could you please run the game with logserv running and reproduce the problem and send us the logserv file. Reproduction step are very important part of the report. Write exactly what you did to make the problem happen. This will help the programmers see where the problem is, and hopefully make it happen on their own computers. Reproduction steps are required for your report to be useful, even if you have attached logs to your report.
Using the logserver (to minimize problems with this, its recommended that you either restart your computer or check Task managers process list for unresponsive instances of Eve.exe)
1. Find your Eve folder in Windows Explorer 2. When you have the Eve folder open, find "logserver.exe" and launch it (Do NOT have EVE running) 3. Select "File" -> "New Workspace" 4. Start Eve like you would normally do 5. When you have reproduced the bug, Eve crashes or when you kill the process if it hangs, select "File" -> "Save workspace as..." and save the workspace in a place you'll find it again.
============================
so everybody having this issue, please do those steps and upload the file to some file site, and post a link to that on this thread for the GMs, so this can get fixed sooner.

Originally by: CCP Sreegs I've contacted some of the universities listed (not gotten the best responses so far but one was promising) .....
Your best results at your schools (Not WPI we've been in touch with them and they're super helpful)
I don't know if you were being sarchastic about WPI being helpful, because helpdesk is ignoring my ticket, but I can confirm the CCP did contact WPI's helpdesk which gained +100 respect points in my book

maybe so... but contacting netops is useless... netops is the laziest department in the school... even if they have nothing to do, they wont get back to CCP for a week heh

In terms of GM responses / feedback, I am beyond impressed. I still can't believe they called a school's helpdesk to ask for some information. As far as customer support goes, I take back any previous negative comments I might have said about CCP.
As far as tech support goes.... well, I'd love to be in EVE right now xD
but hey, something good came of this: I found out there are around 10 ppl at WPI who play this game lmfao

Any chance at a small skillpoint reimbursement/bonus? I've been paying for a game I cannot play for 4 days because of a change on CCP's end... it kinda falls under the category of "extended downtime" IMO

hope you don't mean my conversation with GM Xamother because WPI helpdesk has so far been ignoring my ticket and as far as I know made no progress |
